BACKYARD BABIES To Release 'Live Live In Paris' CD In February

January 24, 2006

Having spent the better part of 2005 on tour with SOCIAL DISTORTION in both Europe and North America, Swedish glam-punks BACKYARD BABIES now offer up a souvenir of their concert experience. "Live Live In Paris" (no, that's not a typo; it's the verb followed by the adjective) showcases 15 classics from the catalog of the band Kerrang! magazine calls the kings of "shit-kicking sleaze." Recorded before a sold-out French crowd during the "Stockholm Syndrome" European tour, it provides a memorable snapshot of the booze-fueled gutter rock that's earned the quartet worldwide acclaim. A February 21 release via Liquor and Poker Music is expected.

As previously reported, BACKYARD BABIES have tapped THE HELLACOPTERS frontman/ex-ENTOMBED drummer Nicke Andersson to produce their upcoming CD, tentatively due late spring 2006 via BMG. The upcoming collaboration will mark the first time that BACKYARD BABIES guitarist Dregen and Andersson have worked together since THE HELLACOPTERS' "Payin' the Dues" CD in 1997.

BACKYARD BABIES' most recent full-length album, "Stockholm Syndrome", was issued in Scandinavia in November 2003 through RCA/BMG Records. A wider European release followed in March. The follow-up to 2001's "Making Enemies Is Good" was recorded at Stockholm's Polar studios and was mixed in Los Angeles with producer Joe Barresi (LIMP BIZKIT, BUCKCHERRY, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, MONSTER MAGNET, KYUSS).
